Benefits of Our Kernersville Kickboxing Program

Why you should be taking Kickboxing

Kickboxing Fitness Fun for the Whole Family
I am always talking about how important it is to find a skill that is related to fitness to keep you interested.  By doing so you’ll be able to see the attributes you develop in fitness classes at work,  gain some new ones and have more fun with your fitness lifestyle. I personally look forward to going to the gym every week (Especially if it’s a good gym). That is
    •    Good people
    •    Good community
    •    Good staff
    •    Good facilities
Like Fitness One : )

However, even the best fitness classes taught by the best instructors can use some additional material to help keep them fresh.  It just so happens Fitness One offers a wide veriety of options to keep you from getting into a slump. If you aren’t currently taking up any other activities other than classes… try it! You may surprise yourself. In fact, research has shown that trying new things will keep you young. Who knows, you may even reveal a talent that you never knew you had.

Allen Branch
Allen is a Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee.  He has been recognized by several prominent organizations for his contributions to martial arts in America including being named Trainer of the Year by legendary Joe Lewis, 6 time Kickboxing World Champion and Student of Bruce Lee.

Allen’s Take on training in Martial Arts, Kickboxing and Its Benefits

“Martial Arts is one of the best ways for someone who wants to gain BOTH confidence and ability at the same time.  It deals with issues like mental preparation and focus while also training you to control your body not the other way around.  Martial Arts also can be used as a cross trainer sport for many other programs like Football and Basketball for unquestionable results”

What Specific attributes can I gain through training?

Speed
“Speed Kills” that saying holds true in any sport!  The faster I am at running the quicker I can score that goal.  The faster footwork in basketball or soccer will get me around the defender better.  In boxing and Kickboxing the quicker the punch the better it lands.  It’s that simple, Speed rules in sports and Kickboxing trains hand and foot speed every single class. Our 10,000 Square foot Kernersville Training Center is one of a kind.

Power
Every football coach looks for the defensive lineman that can hit harder and faster than the other team.  Kickboxing Develops power in not only the lower and upper body but the core as well.  This way you get a well-rounded, total body functional strength that’s hard to match.

Timing and Coordination
Kickboxing teaches people how to time their attacks with proper footwork while shifting their body back and forth in perfect balance.  Skills that everybody can use for activities like trail walking or rafting to something like playing a sport.

All this combined with the fact that Kickboxing is a low impact sport make it a perfect choice for anyone to try.  Plus you never know you may be the next world champion!

What else do I Need to Know about Kickboxing?

The people and the environment
If someone asked me right now to walk away from martial arts and they would pay me a million dollars I would laugh at them.  There is no replacement in life for the relationships, Fun, Abilities and benefits you gain from Martial Arts.  The people in class don’t just become class mates but sometimes a lifelong friend.  People who help you better yourself mentally and physically and ask you for the same help along the way.  The environment also promotes a healthy life style.  You can’t train martial arts and be drinking every night or smoking 5 packs a day.  All class participants are encouraged to stop any unhealthy habits that would hamper their training.  Most of the time they love training so much it works!  I can’t count how many people have stopped drugs, drinking, Smoking and hard core partying because it was taking them away from classes.

We DON’T use four letter words

Well we don’t swear in class as a rule but the ones I’m talking about are “Can’t” and “Quite”.  We call them quitting words, words that fighters don’t employ.  Kickboxing develops a “No Quite Attitude” that people can take into their life in every aspect.  In fact a recent study came out about how many corporate professionals are Black Belts.  Saying they learned the attitudes they needed to succeed in life from Martial Arts.

To Sum It Up

If your looking to try something new and want to gain some awesome attributes and life skills.  Martial Arts and Kickboxing are a great choice.  Give it a chance and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
