Kernersville Fitness and Cross Training
Kernersville Fitness and Cross Training
Our Fitness One circuit training program and fitness classes has been the area leader in Kernersville since 1995. The concept of circuit training however is nothing new.
Many new Fitness Fads try to lay claim to "inventing" cross training, when it has actually been around Kernersville for 12 years and around the fitness world for much longer than that.
Back in the 1950s, researchers R E Morgan and GT Anderson at the University of Leeds and England developed circuit training, in which different exercises are performed one after the other, with little or no rest in between.
The name is based on the concept of an electrical circuit, and over the years circuit training has been used extensively in military and athletic arenas. It is finally gone mainstream, because people are discovering that shorter, higher intensity workouts provide greater results. Circuit training burns more calories than conventional cardiovascular exercise, and increases muscular tone and definition.
Kernersville Fitness since 1995
In Kernersville, the program began when our system was introduced in early 1995. Since then, our fitness program has included everything-Dumbells, Tires, TRX suspension Training, Kickboxing, Box Jumping, resistance bands and just about any piece of Fitness equipment one can find. Our scientific based training system utilizes these different pieces in an organized progression that gets guaranteed results.
High intensity interval training is part of our Fitness workout that includes cardiovascular exercise to elevate your heart rate, but with a twist... you raise and lower the intensity of your exercise, a technique also known as burst training. We call it HEAT which stands for high energy aerobic training. This approach is to alternate 30 seconds of working as fast as you can followed by 30 seconds of working at a moderate pace. Each interval of intense activity raises your heart rate and it makes you sweat much harder.
During these periods you exercise hard as you can all without losing your form. During the intervals of moderate activity you will recover and catch her breath. Alternating between the fast and the slow exercise sets allows you to push yourself much harder than you would if you were only trying to sustain fast activity. The fast slow approach is easier to handle both physically and mentally.
Kernersville Fitness and Cross Training for all levels
The interval training workouts at fitness one are designed to help you get the most out of each workout, every time you come in the door. Our system allows the entire body to train, head to toe while still getting the cardiovascular exercise. This approach to fitness is revolutionary in many ways. Our goal is to help you get results that's the in result. We want you to lose weight, shed inches, build muscle, and get in the best shape that you can be in. Most importantly, we want you to do it safely.
